The site was a detached warehouse in an all residential street, occupied for various uses of the years but empty for 3 years before the client acquired it.The client was recommended to us after having both a negative pre-application and a planning application refused over 9 months with another architectural practise. We submitted a planning application within 2 weeks of instruction and gained planning permission first time for the same proposal, which was to convert the warehouse into a 3 bedroom house with parking and rear garden and improve the external appearance to help integrate within the residence character of the street.
